Are these two sets of computer memory sticks the EXACT same?
Hello
My husband picked a specific type of computer memory for his Christmas present from TigerDirect.Com and I think I found the same memory at NewEgg.com for less money (which would be great because then I can get him other gifts I know he’d like as well), however, I really don’t know much about the inner workings of computers and I would hate to ruin his gift by getting the wrong stuff. After reading the descriptions of both it appears to me they are the same, but I’m not 100% positive, so I was hoping someone here would be able to tell me if the memory sticks I found at NewEgg.com are the same EXACT ones he picked out at TigerDirect.com?
These are the TigerDirect.com ones:

And these are the ones I *think* may be the EXACT same at NewEgg.Com:

Thank you ALL SO MUCH!!!!

yep. those are the same.
the important things to look at are the pyhsical size (are they going into a desktop or a laptop), the amount of memory (1gb, 2gb, etc), and the type (these are both ddr2)

The two are the EXACT same modules. Newegg is cheaper though. The Price on Tigerdirect is AFTER a mail in rebate. With Newegg the price is $66.99 after mail in rebate, plus free shipping. Without rebate, newegg is still cheaper by $10, plus you still get free shipping from newegg.

They are the exact set and the ways to tell is 1.) the product number is the same TWIN2X4096-6400C5C. 2.)The timings are the same (5-5-5-18). 3.) The speed is the same DDR2 800 (PC2 6400). And finally the last thing you would look at would be voltage which they are exactly the same 1.8 volts
